In the aftermath of Typhoon Opong, communities faced widespread destruction that disrupted daily life and essential services. During emergencies, one of the biggest challenges is ensuring that sexual and reproductive health services are left behind urgently needing food, shelter, and safety. These services are vital to protect the dignity, health, and rights of individuals, especially women, girls, and vulnerable populations.
Through FPOPs MISP outreach activities in Masbate Province, supported by IPPF and Australian Aid, FPOP worked tirelessly reaching those affected, effectively providing lifesaving SRH services such as contraceptive availability, maternal & neonatal care, and HIV & STI. Despite logistical hurdles, limited resources, and the chaos of disaster, our teams showed resilience and compassion, ensuring that SRH remains a priority, even in times of crisis.
Read these inspiring stories to see how timely intervention, community support, and a commitment to dignity can restore hope amid adversity. Together, we continue to advocate for SRH as an essential part of emergency response.
